Two Worlds
10 drawings and a sculpture are on exhibit in Westminster Library of Blacksburg Presbyterian Church in Blacksburg, VA.
“Jacob woke from his dream of angels going up and down a ladder between Heaven and Earth, and he found comfort in the thought that these two worlds are one. I titled the sculpture “Dark Was the Night, Cold Was the Ground” after the song by that title by Blind Willie Johnson because I felt a connection between it and Jacob’s story.
This work has helped me think about how easily we divide the world into parts, yet deeper thought reveals profound and meaningful connections.”
